14. Why do you think the author wrote this story? Where did he or she get the idea or the characters? What message do you think that the author is trying to share?
Ender's Game, is a science fiction novel written by Orson Scott Card. My post is in reference to, Ender's life changing journey through Battle School and Command School. I think that the author wrote this story to show readers that Ender Wiggin started off as a weak little kid, but ended up as a strong soldier, saving the world. I also think that he wrote this story to let readers know that Ender was underestimated in the beginning, but he never let anyone bring him down. I think that the author got the idea of the story and the characters from the real world. Many people are looked down on or doubted by, even if the person hardly knows them or doesn't know what they can really do. This is similar to the situation Ender went through. I think that the message the author is trying to share is, don't underestimate someone because you don't know what they're capable of. I think that this is the message of the story because Ender was doubted by many people, but he moved on and showed everyone what he is able to do.

11. What do you wish to learn when you read again tomorrow; what do you hope will happen in the story or to the characters? Why do you wish for that to happen?
Ender's Game, is a science fiction novel written by Orson Scott Card. The section of reading my post is in reference to is when, Ender graduates Battle School and attends Command School. In the story, what I wish to learn when I read again tomorrow is, what happens in Command School and what Ender accomplishes. I'd also like to learn the skills Ender needs to know in order to strive, and if he will ever be able to fight the "buggers".
What I hope will happen in the story or to the characters is that, Ender will be able to make it through Command School. I hope that Ender won't give up, and that he will remain strong. I'd like Ender to make new friends, that would accept him as he is. Also, I hope that Ender can see his family again, and become closer with Peter. I wish for these things to happen so that Ender can be successful and become the best soldier. Also because I don't want him to be underestimated by others, like he was when he first came to Battle School.

Reading Diary Blog #3
10. As you read today, what surprised you? Explain how this will affect the story or how it changed your thinking about the story.
Ender's Game, is a science fiction novel written by Orson Scott Card. The section of reading that my post is in reference to is, how much Ender has improved from the beginning of training. As I read today, what surprised me is that Ender has changed so much from the beginning of his training. He is currently commander of the Dragon Army. Everyone looks up to him. Before, he was this weak little kid but now, he has grown to a mature boy. Ender is now strong, confident, and harsh on his soldiers, not anything like he was before. I think that he wants to put his soldiers in his shoes to show them what he had to go through, and to let them know that it's not easy to do this.
How this will affect the story and change my thinking about the story is, I thought that Ender wouldn't change and have a hard time getting used to training but, he is now a commander and he is not afraid anymore. Also, it will affect the story because since Ender is successful in the military now, I think that he will strive even more.

9. If you could ask any character a question, what would you ask? If you could ask the author a question, what might that be? Explain why you chose these questions.
Ender's Game, is a science fiction novel written by Orson Scott Card. This post is in reference to Ender switching to a different army. If I could ask any character a question, it would be Ender and I would ask him, how did you feel about being moved to a different army? I would ask him this question because if I were Ender, I'd feel scared and worried about moving to a new army. Also because, since Ender made new friends in his old army, I'd think that it would be hard for him to leave that behind. If I could ask the author a question it would be, how would you feel if you were Ender in this situation? Ender's Game
I think that my book will be about how the main character saves the Earth from aliens. Also, I think that the main character is young, so it will be hard for him to get used to battle school. I think that he will learn new skills to help him defeat the aliens. I also think that he will be able to save the Earth, and conquer the aliens.

13. It is not unusual to wish that our lives were more like the lives of characters in stories. How would you change your own real life to be more like the world of your story?
I really liked this story, even though I hardly read fantasies. I enjoyed this book because one, I like to read books about fantasy creatures and two, this story is nothing like my own life so I like to pretend that my life were like this.
In the story, Jack and Annie get to travel to magnificent places in their magic tree house, while I don't. They fight all different kinds of creatures especially dragons. So, when I read these books I imagine I'm there with them and I get to experience what they do. I could help them put the fire out in Edo, while soaring through the sky on a dragon.
Jack and Annie's life sounds like a lot of fun but, my life could never be like theirs and I wouldn't want it to be, even though they save some part of the world everyday. To be honest, I would be afraid to do the things they do and, I have my own things I need to do. Even though my life cant be like Jack and Annie's, I will always enjoy reading about their amazing adventures.
